The Sudanese national football team qualified for the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup in Qatar, following a 1-0 victory over Libya on Saturday at the Khalifa International Stadium in the first match of the preliminary qualifiers.
Sudan will play in Group D along with Egypt, Algeria and the winner of Lebanon and Djibouti.
The 2021 FIFA Arab Cup, organized by FIFA, will be held in Doha from Nov. 30 to Dec. 18.
The preliminary qualifiers for the Arab Cup is held from June 19 to 25 at Khalifa International Stadium and Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium at Al Sadd Club, to qualify seven teams to join the nine qualified teams in the tournament.
Mohamed Abdel Rahman scored the match's only goal in the 12th minute from the penalty spot to seal the victory for Sudan.
