Doha, Qatar- Al Arabi take on Al Sailiya during their QNB Stars League Week 7 match at the Grand Hamad Stadium, later tonight.
Al Arabi, who are ranked fifth on the QNB Stars League leaderboard, have 12 points from six matches, with four wins and two losses so far. Meanwhile, Al Sailiya are one above Al Arabi in the rankings with four wins and one loss in five matches so far. They too have 12 points.
Hosts Al Arabi are still wary about their striker Franco Hurtado muscle injury. The Colombian, who was seen going through the paces under the watchful eyes of Croatian coach Luka Bonacic, earlier this week, may make a complete recovery sooner than expected. The 32-year old, was earlier thought to be out of action initially for a month.
However, Al Arabi are keen on sustaining the momentum. They jumped from fifth to fourth position following their 3-0 victory over Al Shahania in Week 6.
Meanwhile, Al Sailiya continued with their training in preparations for tonight’s encounter. Their Tunisian coach, Sami Trabelsi, tried to focus on the technical aspects of the game, including physical fitness of the players.
