Hamad bin Abdulrahman Al-Attiyah was re-elected for a second consecutive term as President of the Asian Equestrian Federation, a position that he will hold until 2023. The election was held during the General Assembly of the Federation's meeting, currently taking place in Doha.

Following his re-election, Al-Attiyah has promised to work hard to contribute to the development of equestrianism in the continent. Al-Attiyah has been QEF’s president since July 2017 and he looks forward to completing his journey to develop and promote the sport.

The meeting's attendance was the highest in the Asian Equestrian Federation's history, which has been attributed in part to the reforms made by Al-Attiyah.
