Qatar Team in Second Day Events of World Parachuting Championships

The Qatari parachute jump team of the Qatar Air Sports Committee in the Joint Special Forces continued its participation for the second day in the Parachute Jump World Championships hosted by Russia until August 21, with the participation of 30 countries.

The Qatari team participated in todays competitions in the "Goal Team" competition, as well as in the eight cohesion competition, which started yesterday (Tuesday), in which the Qatari team ranked third after collecting 34 points, while the four-way cohesion competitions in which the Qatari team occupies were postponed. Third place also with 141 points, until tomorrow (Thursday) due to bad weather conditions such as rain and strong winds.

In the "Goal Team" competition, which witnessed the participation of 18 countries, the Qatari team was able to present a strong show and ranked fifth at the level of "teams" after Belarus, France, the Czech Republic and Russia, respectively, after implementing only two out of eight rounds, due to bad conditions.

As for the individual competitions, Qatari jumpers Khaled Shaja and Abdul Aziz Al-Hajji performed well, qualifying them to compete for the first three places, while jumpers Saleh Al-Obaidi competed for the first places in the under-22 category.

The Qatari goal team includes: Rashid Talib Al-Marri, Muhammad Saeed Al-Marri, Abdulaziz Abdullah Al-Hajjaji, Khaled Muhammad Shaja, Mishaal Ismail Al-Qaoud, Muhammad Mohsen Al-Attas, Muhammad Abdullah Al-Hajri, Saleh Muhammad Al-Obaidi, and Muhammad Issa Al-Kuwari.

The Qatari team's participation will continue tomorrow, Thursday, on the third day of the Parachute Jump World Championship, in the eight cohesion, four-way cohesion and goal competitions.
