Qatar's young rider Hamad Al Sahouti achieved good results in the sixth round of the 2021 European Talent Cup, which was held over two days at Jerez Circuit in Spain with the participation of 29 riders representing 11 countries.

Al Sahouti, who participated in the race with team Leopard, presented good levels as he managed to rank in 10th place in category (A) of the preliminary race, and later presented an outstanding performance in the free and qualifying trials.

The Qatari rider managed to occupy 16th place with a total time of 13.04,459 minutes in the first main race of seven laps of 31 km, a difference of 19.672 seconds from the Spanish title winner Maximo Martez, who won first place with a time of 12.44.811 minutes.

In the second main race consisting of 15 laps and a distance of 66.3 km, Al Sahouti advanced to 13th place after he recorded a total time of 28.07.744 minutes, while Martez also won first place with a time of 27.24.974 minutes.

Al Sahouti participated in the European Talent Cup as part of his preparations for the Asian Talent Cup. However, the remaining three rounds of the tournament in Thailand, Malaysia and Japan were canceled due to the ongoing repercussions of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation (QMMF), headed by Abdulrahman Al Mannai, is considering Al Sahouti's participation with the Leopard team in another round of the European Talent Cup in order to develop his level and gain new experiences.
