Doha, Qatar - The President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of IAAF World Championship Doha 2019, H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, yesterday met with the President of the Confederation of African Athletics (CAA), Colonel Kalkaba Malboum, who is currently visiting Doha as part of the IAAF delegation.
The meeting reviewed the aspects of sports cooperation and means of supporting and developing them. Colonel Malboum praised the preparations underway in Doha for the World Championships, which will be held for the first time in the Middle East in September.
The meeting was also attended by QOC Secretary-General Jassim Rashid Al Buainain, and Vice-President of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Major General Dahlan Al Hamad who is also the Director General of the LOC .
