Qatar Sailing and Rowing Federation Honors Tala Abu Jbara

Qatar Sailing and Rowing Federation honored the Olympic competitor Tala Abu Jbara, who achieved outstanding results during her participation in the finals of the Summer Olympic Games (Tokyo 2020), in order to support and encourage her to continue achievements in the various challenges during the coming period, celebration held at the headquarters of the Federation, and was attended by President of the Sailing and Rowing Federation Abdullah Yousuf Al Sulaiti. 

Tala became the first Qatari female athlete to qualify for the Olympics in the history of Qatari sports in all sports after she excelled in the Asian Rowing Championships, through which she qualified for the Olympics. 

The Qatari competitor appeared in the Tokyo Olympics well and presented high technical levels, and was able to win first place in two races in the Olympic competitions, but the total number of her points did not help her to occupy a position that qualifies her to win an Olympic medal. 

In a press statement, the head of the Sailing and Rowing Federation noted the remarkable development in Tala's performance and the distinguished levels she offers in the various benefits she participates in, the most recent of which is the Asian Rowing Championships and the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. 

The President of the Federation was keen to thank the officials in the Qatar Olympic Committee for their continuous efforts and support for the Federation in particular and for Qatari sport in general.
