Brothers Ali and Muhanna Al Obaidly and Bashar Hussein have qualified for the Second Round of the 6 Red World Championship for singles, which is hosted by Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation until next Tuesday, with the participation of 55 players representing 29 countries.
Muhanna Al Obaidly achieved his second win after defeating Jordan's Fawaz Al Helo (5-4) in strong competition in Group 1. Muhanna won his first competition over Lebanon's Roy Abi Nader (5-0), and still has to play a tough game against Iran's Amir Sarkhosh, the runner-up at the Asian Championship, to lead the group.
In Group 2, Ali Al Obaidly qualified for the second round after defeating his Mongolian rival (5-2). Ali has earlier won the game against his Iranian rival (5-4), and still has a match against Yemen's Ahmed Jahman in the third round, after which he may lead the group and compete for one of the cards that automatically qualifies for the Round of 16.
Meanwhile, Bashar Hussein qualified for the Second Round after winning over his Irish rival (5-3) in Group 5.
