Al Wakrah coach Marquez Lopez spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 5's postponed match against Al Duhail.
Marquez Lopez confirmed his team's readiness to face the postponed Al Duhail match, Thursday, from the fifth round of the Qatar Football League noting that the preparations for the confrontation did not differ much from the preparation for the rest of the matches played by the team.
Lopez said at today's press conference: "We only had a day off after the Al Sailiya match, and then we had only Tuesday and Wednesday to prepare for the Al Duhail which is strong team, of course, but it is possible for Al Wakrah through good work to achieve a surprise".
"The recent victory over Al Sailiya gave great strength to the players and this is of course a good thing for everyone. This is football, when you win everyone becomes happy and everything is good, but situation can change. At this moment, the team is happy and we are preparing for the next match with great focus and high morale." added Lopez.
Al Wakrah player Omid Ebrahimi said, "We know that we will play against a good team and we will see what happens, Of course we will give off our maximum efforts on the field in football, everything is possible, As I said before, we are well-prepared and I am sure we will go on out on the field with full concentration".
