Qatar and Yemen Football Associations Sign MoU

Qatar Football Association signed a memorandum of understanding with its Yemeni counterpart for cooperation in many aspects related to football and its development in both countries.

The MoU was signed by HE President of Qatar Football Association (QFA) Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed Al-Thani, and President of Yemen Football Association (YFA) Sheikh Ahmed Al Eissi, during their meeting today on the sidelines of the Yemen U-23 team featuring in the Asian qualifiers for the 2022 AFC Asian Cup Uzbekistan. Yemen are part of Group A with Qatar, Syria and Sri Lanka. The qualifiers is taking place in Doha from Oct. 25-31.

The MoU serves as a road map for future cooperation of taking the game forward in Qatar and Yemen and ensuring its development at the local, Asian and international levels.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed issues of mutual concern, and ways to enhance the relations and joint cooperation between the two federations.

Al Eissi thanked his Qatari counterpart for his great support, stressing his complete confidence in the continuation of joint cooperation to develop football.
