The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, the organising committee for the 2022 FIFA World Cup, announced on Twitter that the turf laying at Al Wakrah Stadium has been successfully completed in a record time.
The stadium, which is one of Qatar’s eight World Cup Stadiums, had its turf laid down in just 9 hours and 15 minutes. The previous record was 13 hours and 15 minutes, at Khalifa International Stadium.
