QNB STARS LEAGUE: INTERESTING STATISTICS

Doha, Qatar- The QNB Stars Leagues Week 7 saw many interesting statistics and figures from the six games played over three days. 

• According to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League, a total of 15 goals were scored with an average of 2.50 goals per game. 

• The Qatar SC vs Al Sadd was the highest-scoring fixture (six goals). 

• Only three goals were scored from outside the penalty area. 

• The total number of shots was 144, of which 55 were on target. The average number of passes per match was 491.3, of which 416.3 were successful. 

• The average of dribbles per match was 9.9. 

• Only one penalty kick was awarded and Al Sadd’s Algerian ace Baghdad Bounedjah wasted it. 

• The number of yellow cards was 28 and the only red card was shown to Al Khor captain Nayef Al Breiki during their match against Umm Salal. 

• Bounedjah continued to be the top scorer with 14 goals, followed by Akram Afif, also of Al Sadd, on eight and Al Duhail’s Moroccan spearhead Yousef El Arabi on seven goals. 

• Moroccan striker Rachid Tiberkanine, who scored a brace for Al Sailiya against Al Arabi, became the joint fourth-best scorer, along with Umm Salals Yannick Sagbo, with six goals. 

• Al Sailiya’s Abdulqadir Ilyas and Al Duhail’s Nam Tae-Hee, each have five goals, while Al Gharafa’s Vladimir Weiss and Umm Salal’s Mahmoud Mawas both netted four goals. 

• Three players, each scored two goals, Yousef El Arabi, Rashid Tiberkanine and Abdulhadi Amin.
