Al Gharafa and Al Wakrah will face off in Round 2 of the 2024-2025 season QSL Cup (Group B) at the Al Khor Stadium on Friday, September 6, 2024. The kick-off is at 8.30 pm.
The upcoming match features two prominent teams, each with aspirations of securing victory and competing for the title. Both possess talented players, including distinguished foreign and local professionals, to outmaneuver one another.
Al Gharafa will commence their tournament journey. They were not in action as Group B comprises five teams, Al Shamal, Umm Salal, and Al Khor being the others.
At present, Al Wakrah is at the top of the group with three points, having secured a notable victory in the opening round by defeating Al Khor 5-1.
Both teams boast several exceptional players capable of delivering impressive performances.
Al Gharafa are relying on their offensive prowess, supported by high-caliber players, while Al Wakrah approach the match with motivation stemming from their significant first-round victory and the strength of their distinguished players.
Each coach aims to maximize the benefits of this tournament, striving to advance to the later stages while also preparing their squads for upcoming challenges throughout the season, both domestically and internationally.
This includes participation in the AFC Champions League Elite for Al Gharafa and AFC Champions League Two for Al Wakrah.
