The Lusail International Circuit (LIC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Aspire Zone Foundation to enhance the experience for fans and teams for the upcoming Formula 1 event, set to take place from November 28 to December 1 in Qatar. This partnership aims to strengthen LIC's logistical and infrastructural capabilities, ensuring it is well-prepared to host high-profile motorsport events.
LIC has already established itself as a world-class venue, having hosted prestigious events like MotoGP and the World Endurance Championship. This collaboration with Aspire Zone Foundation will further elevate the circuit's capabilities, promising an even higher standard of thrilling experiences for motorsport enthusiasts from around the globe.

Abdulaziz Abdullah Al Mahmoud, deputy president, and Director General of Sports Facilities Management at Aspire Zone Foundation, expressed pride in the collaboration, stating: “We are honored to sign this memorandum of understanding with the Lusail International Circuit, which opens new horizons for enhancing cooperation between our two organizations. Through this agreement, we will oversee all routine and emergency maintenance operations and ensure that all facilities meet the highest standards of performance and quality to guarantee their readiness for hosting events and sports activities efficiently.”
Al Mahmoud added, “Aspire Zone Foundation will offer support and technical consultations, develop operational plans, and handle design work for the Lusail International Circuit through its Sports Facilities Management. We are committed to fostering innovation and excellence in both sports and administration to ensure that sports facilities meet the highest quality standards in Qatar. Our goal is to prepare facilities to host events with efficiency and professionalism by overseeing maintenance and operations, implementing advanced technological solutions, and promoting environmental sustainability, in line with the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
From November 28 to December 1, the Lusail International Circuit will host the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2024, which will be the second-to-last round of this year’s FIA Formula One World Championship. With the support of the Aspire Zone Foundation, the event is expected to be an exceptional showcase of speed, precision, and entertainment.
