Qatar played its third international friendly match with
South Korea on November 17, after playing Ghana and Costa Rica earlier this
month.
The match took place in the BSFZ arena in Austria on Monday
evening after six players from the South Korean team tested positive for
COVID-19.
The Korea Football Association decided to avoid delaying the
match as they had at least 19 healthy players, including a goal keeper.
In the first minute of the game Hwang Hee-chan scored South
Korea’s first goal putting them in the lead.
Nine minutes later Qatar’s Almoez Ali scored the team’s first
goal catching up to South Korea.
At the 36th minute, Hwang Ui-jo brought his team
to the lead again after scoring the winning goal.
Qatar currently ranks 57th in the FIFA world
rankings whereas South Korea ranks 38th.
