Al Sailiya made their way into fifth place in the QNB Stars League following a comfortable 2-0 victory over Al Gharafa, courtesy of Nadir Belhadj and Mohamed Mudether.
Meanwhile, Umm Salal scraped a 2-1 victory over Al Wakrah with a 9th minute goal from Raul Becerra and a last gasp penalty for Mahmoud Mawas.
Following this evening’s matches, Al Gharafa remain narrowly in fourth place on 25 points, with Al Sailiya just two points behind them in 5th place.
